More information:
Each Improvers Course is available for a specific date. On successful purchase of the course you will be enrolled onto the course and you will receive a confirmation of your booking within 48 hours. Your date for that course is then fixed and cannot be changed without prior agreement. Due to the small group coaching provided it is not often possible to change the date when there is 10 days before the course start date so please check your diary carefully before booking.
In the run up to the course you will receive all communications and information via email so please ensure you provide an up-to-date email address. On the day before the course you will receive a link to the course via email. All courses are held via the online meeting platform Zoom.
During the two-hour course you will be guided through more advanced techniques for calligraphy including ‘bounce’ and ‘flourishing’. You will be taught text composition and placing and more ornate styles. It is not intended that you will finish the course and feel completely proficient in calligraphy. The aim of the course is that you will finish having received tips and techniques to support your calligraphy skills and you will feel more confident using advanced techniques.
Each individual is unique and their starting position and commitment to the course is unique to them and as a result individual results will vary. We recommend that once you finish the course you spend time in the immediate days following the course to practice your new skills and then to keep practising regularly. The course is an introduction only and failure to continue to practice the skills taught will limit your ability any results and improvement. Whilst the numbers of participants are kept relatively small, this is not a 1:1 course.
Please be aware that the course is delivered entirely in English and no translations are provided for videos or text.
