About Us and How to Contact Us
We are “Langham Calligraphy” founded by Claire Langham, a passionate and experienced designer specialising in calligraphy. We undertake private commissions including office signage, bespoke wedding stationery and much more. We also offer calligraphy workshops to support beginners and improvers with their calligraphy skills. We operate our business from 24 Abinger Avenue, Cheam, Surrey, SM2 7LJ. By using this Site you agree to the Terms and Conditions without modification. We reserve the right to amend the Terms of Use of this Site and on doing so we will update these Terms and Conditions.
This Site is intended for use by persons who are a minimum of 18 years old.

This Site is created and hosted in the United Kingdom. Whilst it is intended that the Site will be accessible worldwide, we do not represent that the content will be available or appropriate in other locations. This Site is written in English and we do not take responsibility for any translations which are applied to this Site.
The content on this Site, and the associated social media channels (available on Instagram and Facebook via @LanghamCalligraphy) and email marketing, will include information on calligraphy techniques, skills and products used in calligraphy. All content is intended for informational purposes only. None of the content in emails or social media posts should be construed as specific advice which is bespoke to you. Specific advice can be provided in respect of individual products and we can provide a bespoke service for commissions which are handled on a one to one basis. The information shared is general and unless otherwise stated is not directed at any individual, whilst our social media and marketing may resonate with you our posts are not intended to be directed at any one person or circumstance.

Site Operation
This Site is available free of charge.
We do not guarantee the availability of any Site or content. We reserve all rights to withdraw, suspend or restrict the content at any time for any reasons. Where possible, we will give you reasonable notice if the Site is to be suspended.
We do not guarantee that this Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.
You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our Site. You should use your own virus protection software and other appropriate systems and securities.

This Site contains intellectual property created and owned by Langham Calligraphy unless otherwise stated. The Intellectual Property includes all content on the Site. Content means any text, graphics, audio and video and also extends to the page layouts of this Site and any social media channels and emails. All photographs and videos on this website and the connected social media channels (@LanghamCalligraphy) are subject to copyright.
No permission is given to directly reprint or republish the Site content in part or in full without prior authorisation, acknowledgement and clickable links back to the original page or content source. Permission is granted for you to share designs on Instagram via the Story function only. All Stories must include a visible tag to @LanghamCalligraphy. If you would like to share one of our images or designs to your social media channel either as a Facebook wall post or an Instagram grid post, then you must seek our prior permission. At no point are you entitled to claim rights over our intellectual property.

If defective digital content that we have supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation up to the value of the products purchased.
Terms of Purchase
Langham Calligraphy provide digital downloads and online courses. The detail and information for each course is provided on the pages where the course is available for purchase and is also available on our Course Terms page. All courses are subject to the refund information set out below.
In addition to online courses, we also provide bespoke commission services. Please contact us by email to discuss your requirements and the applicable fees. We will work with you and within your timescales to create something to fit your needs. Our standard way of working is set out below.
Our fees are charged in phases; firstly, there is an initial design consultation fee. During this phase we will agree a scope of work and the specifications for your project, including timescales for delivery and the applicable delivery charges.
The second phase is the development stage. Depending on the scope of your project there may be additional fees. During this phase we will create your design in an electronic format for you to review and approve or provide one round of feedback comments for changes.
The final specification will then be confirmed to you in writing. At this point a further fee may be required depending on whether you are purchasing an electronic or physical product. Once the final payment is made, we will begin the production process and we will not be able to provide a refund on bespoke commissions as they are a made to order purchase. Cancellation, Refund and Returns Policy
You can always cancel your purchase with us but your right to a refund will depend on what you have bought, your status as a purchaser, whether there is anything wrong with your purchase, how we are performing and when you decide to cancel your order.
All refunds are provided in accordance with your statutory rights.
We reserve all rights to discontinue the sale of any products or courses for any reason without prior notice. In such circumstances where a course has been purchased but it cannot go ahead a refund will be provided.
Live-Led Course and Product Refund Policies:
In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations, if you are purchasing any products or live-led courses from our site you have the right to cancel purchases which are not digital downloads and obtain a full refund within 14 days from the date of purchase.
Refund requests should be made in writing to claire@langhamcalligraphy.co.uk and a full refund will be provided within 14 working days from the date of the request or the date of any returned goods, whichever is longest. Should you consider that you have grounds to obtain a refund outside of the 14 day cancellation period you should email claire@langhamcalligraphy.co.uk to set out your refund request.
If you have already been sent your starter kit or any products and then seek a refund you must return the kit and/or any products unopened and unused to 24 Abinger Avenue, Cheam, Surrey, SM2 7LJ. You are responsible for the cost of any returns and for the safe return delivery. No refunds will be provided if products are not returned or are have been used.
Learn Calligraphy in a Month
As you are purchasing digital content which includes data which is produced and supplied in digital form you are not entitled to a refund apart from in limited circumstances. In purchasing the digital course, you are waiving your rights to a refund unless the statutory circumstances for refunds are met.

It is always our aim that you will be fully satisfied with your purchase. Should you have any questions about your purchase we will be happy to assist.
When you make a purchase from our site in a business capacity, you do not have the right to a refund if you change your mind in the first 14 days following purchase. Your rights to a refund are limited to situations where the product you have bought is faulty or misdescribed. In such circumstances you may have the right to cancel the order or to get the product repaired, replaced or the service re-performed or to get some of your money back. Please contact us by email to discuss any refund requests.
Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction for any matter and proceedings arising out of the use of this Site. Should you purchase from our Site or enter into a contract with us at any point please be advised Langham Calligraphy reserve the right to refer all disputes to mediation in the first instance.
